Soooo, my Leica D-Lux 3 was getting a bit long in the tooth and not seeing much action and I got some money for Christmas and I’d read nothing but good things about Fuji’s new compact X-series camera and….

  1. It’s mostly good, but being a contrast-detection system, it can get a bit lost if there aren’t strong vertical or horizontal lines to lock onto. It’s only been an issue a couple of times, and even then, it might have been my fault, since my usual camera is a manual-focus Leica.
